Lots of Hope

Farmer’s Market season is just around the corner though it feels like winter today! I was working outside in my winter jacket, and my hands got so chilly I put mittens on for a bit. I am excited to be at the Stockbridge Open Air Market on Friday evenings. It feels good to be able to participate in a local community in this way and I hope it all goes well.

I got a canopy for my stall and practiced putting it up today. Possibly not the best idea as it was rather windy, but I couldn’t wait to try it out. It took me a bit to figure it out and I still need to get stakes to secure it to the ground. It came with “heavy bags”, or whatever the proper term is to weigh it down. At first I thought the didn’t include the bags, turns out they are not filled, just empty bags! So I’ll have to fill them up with dirt, trying not to make a complete mess with the small openings for it.

I still need to order the banner for the stall and business cards and postcards. My husband is suggesting printing a price list or a product list. I’m thinking on that one.

And, of course, the actual products! I have some elderberry elixir finishing up, nettle tincture is just about done as well. I am waiting on my order of little jars to make magnesium cream. There is also white sage spray, mint chocolate body butter, lip balm. I need to get smaller 1 oz tins and make skin salve. Oh, and there is my cramp tincture, and sleep tincture, and sleep pillows!
